The Nuovo Story.

Our Heritage

Nuovo is built on the belief that a kitchen is the engineered heart of a home. Our perspective is shaped by our Aegean Anatolian heritage—a culture where the kitchen has been the center of domestic life for generations. This history of communal gathering taught us that a space is only successful if it functions as flawlessly as it looks. At Nuovo, we bring that same Mediterranean warmth to Vancouver. Our studio is more than a workplace; it is an invitation to experience the textures, materials, and hospitality that define our culture.

Forty Years of Manufacturing Excellence

Nuovo is a second-generation family enterprise. We carry forward a legacy of high-end manufacturing established in 1982 by our family firm, A/S Kitchens and Interiors. By bringing over four decades of experience from the Mediterranean to the West Coast, we offer Vancouver a deep-rooted expertise in custom woodwork and technical innovation that few can match.

Our technical direction is defined by our founder, Onur. With a BS in Materials Science Engineering and a Master’s in Interior Design from Florence, Italy, Onur brings a rare perspective to the Vancouver market. He looks at cabinetry through two lenses: the rigorous technicality of molecular engineering and the sophisticated aesthetics of high-European design.

A Sensory Showroom Experience

Our Vancouver studio is a curated environment where design comes to life. We invite you to explore six fully realized kitchen environments, the texture of our artisanal wood finishes, and the seamless movement of our engineered cabinetry along with our extensive library of European hardware and artisanal finishes. We operate as a private atelier—a space for homeowners and designers alike to engage in tactile exploration and collaborative planning. True to our roots, we occasionally host culinary events and Aegean tasting experiences, celebrating the kitchen as the soul of the home.

Refined Engineering

We know that for a designer or architect, a concept is only as good as its final millimetre. Unlike showrooms that represent third-party brands, Nuovo is a vertically integrated studio. We don't just supply cabinetry; we engineer it.

By speaking directly with the manufacturer, our partners benefit from greater design flexibility, a superior price-to-quality ratio, and total technical accountability. Through our Design Code—a proprietary process of precision engineering—we translate your architectural drawings into a physical reality that never compromises on your original vision.

Studio Intel / FAQ

Do you collaborate with outside Architects and Interior Designers? Absolutely. A significant portion of our work involves acting as a technical partner for design professionals. We take your conceptual visions and translate them into our proprietary Design Code, providing the precise shop drawings and engineering required for architectural manufacturing.

What makes a "Nuovo" project different? Our difference lies in the integration of Anatolian artisan heritage and modern European technology. We prioritize "flawless manufacture," meaning we focus on the technical longevity and precision of the cabinetry, ensuring that the internal engineering is as beautiful as the exterior finish.

Can you provide millwork for areas outside of the kitchen? Yes. While we are specialists in kitchen architecture, our facility is equipped to produce bespoke millwork for bathrooms, walk-in closets, and integrated wall units, maintaining a unified design language throughout the home.

Where is your cabinetry manufactured? We utilize a specialized facility that combines state-of-the-art European precision machinery with artisanal hand-finishing. This allows us to maintain strict quality control and deliver a level of detail that mass-production suppliers cannot match.

How do I begin a project with Nuovo? We operate as a private, by-appointment studio to ensure each client and professional partner receives our full attention. You can Request an Appointment to visit our Vancouver studio, explore our material library, and discuss your project’s technical requirements.
