Muted Tones & Warm Wood Accents
For this Vancouver residence kitchen design, we focused on a "tone-on-tone" approach to create a kitchen that feels calm, layered, and deeply architectural. The cabinetry is finished in a custom soft-beige that shifts beautifully depending on the light, moving between a cool grey and a warm sand tone throughout the day. This palette is complemented by a magnificent coffered ceiling with integrated cove lighting, adding a sense of height and grandeur to the heart of the home.
To anchor the muted surfaces, we introduced rich walnut through a custom-built range hood and bespoke corner shelving, providing a natural warmth that balances the classic paneled cabinetry and elegant crown molding. The slim-profile quartz countertops and full-height backsplash maintain a minimalist silhouette, ensuring that even with these traditional details, the space remains airy and light-filled.
Inside, the experience is just as refined; we utilized Blum soft-close systems to ensure the kitchen functions with the same quiet precision it displays visually. Precision-integrated LED channels are recessed into the walnut shelving and cabinetry to provide a seamless warm glow without visible fixtures. With integrated professional appliances and discreet hardware, the space remains streamlined, allowing the conversation between the timber and neutral tones to take center stage.
