This Vancouver project proves that "modern" and "homey" are not mutually exclusive. We designed this kitchen for a client who values both professional-grade performance and a curated, eclectic aesthetic. The foundation is built on soft-grey shaker cabinetry, offering a timeless architectural backdrop that allows the home’s unique character—from the vintage-inspired red island accent to the industrial hanging pot racks—to shine.

To bridge the traditional shaker style with a more contemporary feel, we integrated warm wood accents through custom floating corner shelves and a matching range hood trim. These organic elements are illuminated by recessed LED lighting, creating a warm, inviting glow that highlights the full-height Cosentino quartz backsplash. The result is a kitchen that feels deeply personal and functional, seamlessly housing high-end appliances like the black SMEG range while maintaining a soft, approachable atmosphere.

Inside, the experience is just as refined; we utilized Blum soft-close systems to ensure the kitchen functions with the same quiet precision it displays visually. Precision-integrated LED channels are recessed into the cabinetry and open shelving to provide a seamless warm glow without visible fixtures. With integrated storage solutions and brushed metal hardware, the space remains streamlined, allowing the conversation between eclectic styling and modern cabinetry to take center stage.
